  There may be a few things clouding my judgement here, so I'll report back if the rose colored glasses ever come off: I haven't had authentic Mexican food in over a year, I've slept maybe 8 of the last 72 hours, and tequila.
  
  El Mariachi was the perfect place to break us out of our post-New England Mexican food drought. We visited on a Friday afternoon and nearly had the place to ourselves. While I wanted everything on the menu, I settled on a lunch combo of a chicken enchilada and beef taco served with rice and beans. My wife ordered the chimichanga which also came with rice and beans. The food came out quick, but not too quick like it was prepared it in a microwave. Good sign!
  
  My enchilada and taco were amazing and I don't even remember coming up for air. My wife just kept saying "this is the best chimichanga I've ever had" which I'm blaming on the queso it was smothered in. After a bite of hers, I may just be a chimichanga concert.
  
  After our meals, we thanked the waitress and she gave us other dishes of theirs she highly recommends for next time - and we're already excited to go back.

  Went for $1.50 burrito Tuesday, the shredded chicken burritos are the best out of the two!! They have a lot of deals that I had no idea about, Ive included a picture of the daily deals. The salsa is VERY fresh!! And the burritos were great, will definitely be back!

  Ahh, our new favorite Mexican restaurant.
  
  So the best kept secret in Greensboro is out.  Our $1.00 taco nights (Thursdays after 5) have been getting busier and busier.  Their salsa is fresh, the chips even fresher (and seasoned with taco spices -- so yummy!).
  
  It's an older restaurant - so don't expect this to be brand new place.  It's been under new management for a few months.  We have great service every time we go, and appreciate the staff remembering our faces and drink preferences.  
  
  They are still waiting on new menus to be printed.   I kept waiting to upload this review for it, but been waiting 3 months so figured it was time to do it. We've tried fajitas, chimichanga, salad and of course tacos, salads and their chips.  
  
  My favorite is tacos of course.  Order them Mexican style and they're served on soft corn tortillas hand made, with your choice of grilled meat, fresh onions cilantro and a lime wedge.  Comes with a spicy serving of special salsa verde.   They have plenty of hot sauce on the tables including Valentina and Tapitico.   It's my one complaint the salsa isn't spicy.  It's good but I prefer a bit of heat. I'll add several generous splashes of spicy verde and hot sauce and it's much better.  
  
  Different nights of the week they have live entertainment.  And yes, including Mariachi band.  Guys.  I'm no expert but they are good.   There's also karaoke night.  It's.  Well it's not as good.  But enjoy a drink special and you'll enjoy it a bit more.  Plenty of seating and several rooms off the side.  I've yet to make it to those but I'll see groups in them.  Full bar including seats.   And bathroom with several stalls and running toilets that are clean.  Older yes, and not the most fashionable but meets all necessary criteria.

  I don't know what went on with them, they usually have pretty good service, but tonight was horrible! We ordered our food well in advance they said it would be ready in 15 minutes arrived 30 minutes later and it was still not complete, when she finally decided to bring the order out, almost an hour later, it was still wrong, it was missing one plate completely, and the other was wrong. I left and called back and I asked to speak to a manager and I am told that the manager left that second to go get ice. The girl on the phone tells me that she's the manager's assistant, yet while I'm there I heard her tell another person that she just started,I was asked to call back in about 15 or 20 minutes to speak to a manager, I called back and no answer from anyone. Surprise

  I had the burrito California and was really impressed  with the freshness of ingredients, friendly wait staff. Tucked away in the Factory Furniture Outlet/Sedgefield Cinema shopping center! STOP AND DON'T miss Out! Thursday dollar tacos!
